Our story begins when Frank Carey gave Vince Burgoyne his first job as a trainee accountant. Both subsequently moved to work in various industries, with Frank later returning to practice. Meanwhile, Vince was working in industry while also providing part-time accountancy and audit services to charities and community organisations.
They met again by chance in sunny Millport, just as Frank’s business partner was looking to retire and Vince was looking to move back into full-time practice – and Burgoyne Carey was born in 2004.
Since then, we have built an enviable reputation based on personal service and professionalism. Having been on your side of the table, our partner’s lived experience of industry and business gives us a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by our clients.

We’re based in Govan but collaborate with clients right across Scotland. You can visit us in person or talk with us virtually. Either way, you’ll get the same personal attention and expert support.
